We reply in the forum when we have available time.
Sorry but the priority is given to billable support.
If you want a faster reply, you can buy our support at
www.jms2win.com/en/joomla-multisite?page...35&category_id=1

So if the slave site URL is the

mastersite/multisites/slavesite/hello.php

then, you need to verify in this directory that you have a "configuration.php" or at least a /installation directory.

If none are there then you will have the message "no configuration or no installation directory".

If you don't have the "/installation" in the master then it is impossible to have the /installation in the slave site as the slave site needs to create a symbolic link on the /installation directory present in the master.

Normally, when you go in JMS, you should see that the patches are not installed.
This message is displayed when the /installation directory is missing or other patches.

If you didn't installed the JMS patches then you didn't restored the /installation directory.
You can also restore the /installation directory from the original joomla zip file.

So go in the JMS "check patches" menu to verify that you have installed the patches that include the restore of the /installation directory

This depends on the Joomla version.
In Joomla 1.5, Joomla display the list of available templates based on the physical directories present in the /templates directory.

In Joomla 1.6 or higher, Joomla use the content of a table into the DB to display the list of templates. So when you create a fresh slave site, you restart with the default Joomla DB content that just contain the default joomla template.

In Joomla 2.5 or higher, you can go in the Joomla extension manager / discover menu to discover the extension that are present on the disk and that you want to install in the DB.

You can also use the JMS tool menu to install the templates in the slave site from the master.
