TOPIC: Create Sites from the front end
#8927
Re:Create Sites from the front end 12 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello

I ran across two more bugs with Joomla 1.7

When you enter an expire date in the template and create a site from the front end, the date format is not stored correctly. This will cause issues if you manually open and try to save the configuration in the manage sites screen.
see screencast.com/t/8btpfFfjSKO

The second one is the admin password is not set when you create a site from the front end.

Thanks
Dave

Concerning the Expiration Date under Joomla 1.7 that was reported in this post.
www.jms2win.com/en/forum/23-general-ques...8873-expiration-date

This is fixed in JMS 1.2.71
See FAQ for the procedure to get the latest version

Hello

Thank you very much for that fix. Where you able to verify the create sites issue as stated in the top of this discussion?

I am still unable to have the create sites form show with anyone other then Super Administrators.

There is something not clear.
You mentioned that you the users was not able to login and have the password copied correctly.

Now you seems report something concerning a "blank page".
As you can read plenty of time in the forum, a "blank page" is the symptom of a PHP fatal error. So you should find the reason the "error_log" file.

If the problem is related to the password that is not correctly setup in the new slave site, the key element for the password is the definition of the slave site that you used to replicate and create the new website.

Did you created a specific user for the admin.
Did you select the "Admin user" in the JMS Template
Did you setup something in the field "admin password" to ask replicate the password ?
