I don't remember enabling user sharing, but that certainly could be the issue. I looked around and don't see that option. Where do I find User Sharing so I can be sure it is disabled?

This is in JMS template and you perhaps have the "sharing panel" present. Normally it should not be present. To see it, you can view the video tutorial step 16 that show the user sharing. www.jms2win.com/tutorial see also the user manual that give you a screenshot.

I bet the sharing panel was there in v1.2.2 (before I upgraded to 1.2.3). So, it may have been enabled in v1.2.2. Since that panel is not there in v1.2.3, I cannot disable it.

This is not related to JMS version but to the fact that you are using MySQL 4.x instead of 5.x. Normally the behavior was identical in JMS 1.2.2.
