Re:ROOT user also fails to create new DB 14 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
hello jmsalazarjr
I following this topic because I have the same issue.

I try to use one database master and 4 database slaves and I need the single login but we are stuck in the same point. When I use one database for master and slave I can have single login but with diferente database i failed.

This is a MySQL user privileges problem.
You need to grant your MySQL user to allow access the different DBs.

In general cPanel or tools like that create MySQL user that have acces to a single DB.
You need to be MySQL root to grant the MySQL user.

If you want that we do the MySQL administration on your server to update the MySQL privileges, we have billable support that you can order at www.jms2win.com/download?page=shop.produ...35&category_id=1

Ask your DB administrator to grant your MySQL user to have the privileges for the different DBs. In general, only the MySQL root user has this privileges.

Hello edwin2win.
We dont have any problem to pay the billable support, but first are testing in 2 joomla, we need to check, verify, test, understood how to work jms2win, and when we will use it in our production joomla then we will use this billable support.

I'm assuming this is aimed at the other poster and not at myself.

Please split his into another thread, because I still have matters to discuss and it ought to be clear who's talking to whom and about what.

Thanks a lot, my continued conversation follows.

I should say , I'd be happy to get billable support, however my sites and my lab are in an intranet. I can't give you access (login) because you can't connect (network).

What I keep seeing from you are comments to "make sure that DB users have correct permissions". Maybe you could state precisely what you would do to those users' permissions, if you did have phpMySQL access to my DB server. Or maybe there are specific quesitons you would ask me, about my DB server and the users' permissions.

Could you assist me over phone, email, IM, whatever, until we get it right, maybe that's an option. Did you ever support such intranet-only customers before? How did you do it?
