Are there any issues with installing SSL or any particular steps that should be taken? I have mutiple slave sites that all have their own domain names. Each will have their own SSL certificate or is there a way we can share the same certificate?

All I can tell you is that you can use https in the URL but I am not famillar with the certificate and I don't know what is required for each certificate and how you have to setup the certificate. All I can tell you is the JMS is able to recognize the http or https and that you could have different websites depending on http and https.
