TOPIC: NEW to JMS. Help with configuration
#773
Re:NEW to JMS. Help with configuration 15 Years ago Karma: 0
I changed the file permissions. Our hosting company helped me with that. Plus I had not added the (s) in multisites when creating a new site slave. Once all of that was fixed, they worked.

Website Template:

Can you help me with setting up a website template that will clone our master website?

If so, I would like to do this today.

Awaiting your response.

This is very simple.
Create a website template called "replic_master" in which you select the 'from site" with the master DB.
Save it.
Go in "manage site" and create a slave site. Enter:
- a site ID
- a domain name [ie. {site_url}/multisites/{site_id} ]
- Select template "replic_master'
- Enter a new table prefix
- Perhaps you would like to deploy in {site_dir}

sure, I was saying that I would need help mapping out the list of items from the "Templates"
and the "Folders and Files". Do you have a reference on the proper mapping of this listed items?
This is the most important thing that I can think of is the correct mapping.

I will do what you said from the above comment.

Let me know, My deadline is critical now..

No.
This is specific to each customer and depend on the extension installed.
Some extension require additional root directorires.
All I could give you is the list of folders that are provided by a fresh Joomla but you can also identify it when you unzip Joomla somewhere.

Then would this be paid assistance?

I just need some help with one and I can then follow the corrected template for all other slave sites.
