Hello
I just installed JMS 1.1.8. After I installed the patches 1.1.3 My website is shown on the frontend a new pencil icon ! This icon allows to edit any visitor the content !!!!

How can this be DISABLED.

I did not find anything in the description or in the Joomla configuration panel.

Thanks

Joomla Multi Sites does not touch to the Database.

The edit icon appear in Joomla when you are the author or an articles or you have enough permission to edit them (For example when you are administrator).
So if you have for example switched into the front-end when you were logged as the Super Administrator just after installing JMS, this is normal that you have the edit icon displayed by Joomla.
I have check the Joomla code concerning the display of the articles and I have not seen any manual parameter that could be used to force the disable of the edit icon.

Try to logoff and re-display your webpage.
The Edit Icon should disappear.

Many thanks. You are right. The Edit Icon appears only in case you are logged in.

It was the first time I saw this functionality in Joomla. In my "origin" Joomla installation it was not there. So it has been installed while I updated the installation by using the update functionality of your component.

So no issue at all, you can close this thread or delete this post.
