I am trying to set up article sharing.

I have everything setup but in the instruction they talk about master site and adding a multisite category blog.

After setting up this menu I get nothing in slave site. How do I enable this ?

The "Article Sharing" must be installed on each website where you want to display the articles coming from the other websites.
It read (pull) the articles.

For example, if you want to display shared articles on slave 1, you have to install the "Article Sharing" on the slave 1 and there create a menu type that will pickup the articles, category, secction from any websites.
It works like the standard joomla "Article" menu type except that you can also select the website from where you read the articles.
