forum extension jms 1.1 compatible 15 Years ago Karma: 0
Hi,

the people here would like to use a forum on some of our intranet sites that are build as slaves of a master 1.5.10 joomla site with jms 1.1.20.

Could you tell me which forum extension you are using here (it seems quite suitable to what we want) and if it is a JMS compatible extension? Or if not point me a solution that would work in a multisites setup wheren some of the slaves will get a forum?

Am i correct in assuming that I install the forum extension in the JMS master and then also on the specific slaves that will also get the forum?

thanks,
stefan

mmm kunena is 1.0 native only, i am not sure if I can wait for 1.5a. Anyone know if agora 3.0 might work with JMS?

Hi,

i am ready to install now, but somehow everything is not going as planned. I installed the forum component on the master site, where it works fine. As i believe I then Have to run the same installer on the slave site, however this fails with the following error:

* Kan het geselecteerde bestand niet kopiëren.
* JInstaller::install: Kopiëren bestand: /var/www/html/top40/tmp/install_4a003fd55d0ff/com_ccboard_1_1_RC/ naar /var/www/html/top40/administrator/components/com_ccboard/ mislukt
* component Installeer: Kan het PHP installatiebestand niet kopiëren.

After this the component is failing on the master site as well and needs to be reinstalled.
/var/www/html/top40 here is a slave site, in this the Administrator folder is symlinked to the master site, so the /var/www/html/top40/administrator is symlinked to /var/www/html/intranet (the master folder), in this folder the component of course is already present ... i am not sure if it is supposed to overwrite the master-install-folder, right?

i hope one can point me in the right direction. thanks
stefan
