Defining extension from master... 11 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Dear Support,
Thank you very much for the holy grail of all joomla extensions. I have managed to make everything work out of the box.
I am now running into problems with multi menus ending in permission issue. Have tested everything, there must be something wrong with installing extensions on slave sites.
My question is?
Some extensions/plugins are defined by JMS and can be installed. Some other extensions can only be defined from master?
Who do I ask for help, does JMS need to define the extension or do I need to get some other installation file from 3rd party?
Thank you in advance,
Tiaan Viljoen

PS: Must say all multi media info has been so helpful, challenging at times though.
Anybody out there working with JomDirectory & JMS?

You have to distinguish component, modules and plugins.

When a component is not defined, this is more critical because most of the component use MySQL tables to store their data. Therefore, we need to describe in the JMS tool which MySQL tables must be created. You can send us the extension in the attachement of an email.
The email is present in the "contact us".

Concerning the modules and the plugins, this is less critical because in most cases, they are using the MySQL tables used by the component. Therefore you can frequently just define them. Just ensure that the component is correctly installed and working.
