TOPIC: domain name---

domain name--- 14 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
hi there,

I have created a template and have now created a slave using it

however instead of

http://{site_url}/multisites/{site_id}

I would like to use

http://{site_url}/creators/{site_id}

as the domain name

only what would I need to do to getting this to work?
so far it is returning the error 'The page isn't redirecting properly'

Again like in your previous post with 403, follow the same procedure.

- Check the URL
- Check that you can access the URL with a hello word
- Once you are sure of your URL, check that you have deployed the slave site in the corresponding directory (that is dsplayed by hello word).
- Review your JMS definition according to all the previous infos collected.

Review also the video and listen them carefully.

well I have deployed it to

{root}/multisites/{site_id}

and when checking the hello.txt

on the the domain
{site_url}/multisites/{site_id}
it returns 'hello world (chrissy6930)

while on the domain
{site_url}/creators/{site_id}
the error
The requested URL /testing-jms/creators/chrissy6930/hello.txt was not found on this server.
is being displayed

however its the latter domain name I would like to use

If the URL is {site_url}/creators/{site_id}
Then you have to deploy in this directory and not in another one.

{root}/creators/{site_id}

ahhh! would I need to create that folder first or will it be as soon as I deploy to that directory? or would it work by merely renaming folder multisites?

hm!

I have now tried

editing slave adjusting deplayed folder to

{root}/creators/{site_id}

returns the error

The deployed directory ../htdocs/testing-jms/creators/chrissy6930] does not exists.

if instead I first create folder 'creators' in the root first and then edit the slave adjusting the deployed folder as above I would get the same error

could you please advice how to properly deploy to folder 'creators' ?
