I am currently using the JMS multilisting software version 1.2.19 on a jooomla 1.5.15.

I am now considering offering billable websites.

Could you please confirm that I still need to purchase the Plug in JMS bridge for virtuemart.

I note that the JMS bridge for virtuemart is for people with 1.1X JMS multilisting software or is this also the same one used by 1.2.19 owners.

Kind regards

It is not mandatory to purchase the bridge for VirtueMart if you develop your own order and payment system that is possible as explained in the user manual. (See chapter 4.2)
The bridge is just one ready to use solution.

YES you can also use the bridge for JMS 1.2.x

You will also need Website Quota that you can purchase when you go in your JMS - settings menu.

Thanks for the response Edwin.

I have now purchased the plug in bridge , 25 quotas and uploaded virtuemart.

My slave templates are all ready to be replicated.

Just need to how to use the plugin and virtumart

Could you please provide me with guidance on what to do next. I have already installed the plug in bridge to joomla.

Kind regards

- You just have to enable the plugin.
- In the menu where you have defined the website creation from the front-end, you have to enable the "billable website".

The key element for the communication between JMS and the VirtueMart product is to provide the same sku number.
So create a product in the VirtueMart and provide it a sku number.
Copy and paste this sku number in the JMS templates 'sku number" field.
This will allow using this common reference to create the shopping cart with the appropriate product ID, price, description, ...

That all

Hi Edwin,

Thanks for that.

I have a number of further questions to ask.

Is there a way that I can configure the sites that I create to be billable on a monthly basis?

The virtuemart component only allows a fixed payment through paypal rather than a monthly subscription type payment.

If virtuemart is not useable for subscription based websites. could Account Expiry Control (AEC) be of any use?

If not, do you know of any programme that I can use to offer the billable websites created to be charged on a monthly basis

In JMS you can specify an expiration date for a website.
You also have an expiration URL that you can use to redirect the user to a specifc page on your website to guide them.
Also in JMS when you are using the "billable website", the user can return on it website definition and click on the "renew" instead using "new".

You can develop your own system using AEC.
Today we have not created such plugin ready to use but the user manual gives you information in the case you want develop you own system. See chapter 4.

If you want that we develop specific things for your project, we also billable support that can be used for that.
You can order it at
