TOPIC: Upgrade issue
#3345
Upgrade issue 14 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi There.

We have recently moved our site to a new server. We had Multi sites installed previously, but did not have any sites setup.

I get errors when I try and upgrade to the latest version:

If I uninstall the previous version or the patches the site goes down completely.
If I try and upgrade the component I get "There was an error uploading this file to the server."

Is there a way of manualy upgrading it ?

Any help will be appreciated.

thank you

You can download the latest version of JMS that always contain the latest patch definition.
See the FAQ on how to proceed.
There is also a video

Normally all the original files were saved in the "adminstrator/components/com_multiisites/backupXXXXX"
So if you don't have uninstalled JMS, the direcrtory should contain the original files of your system.

You have the "On Install" directory that is the backup performed the first time JMS were installed.
The other backup directory contain the latest backup.

Another solution to restore all the original joomla file is to re-isntall a full version over the current one. This will automatically remove all the patches installed in joomla.

Only the patches for the specific extension will remain installed.
