Help! Need to fix bad template name! 12 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,

I'm using JMS 1.2.75 with patches 1.2.77 on Joomla 2.5.1

I just recently created a template with an apostrophe in the name. I suppose this is a huge no no as it caused the php file "config_templates.php" to break. So now the site and template list wont load in administrative area of multisites

I tried downloading the config_templates.php, then removing the apostrophe from the template name and re-uploading ftp. However, now I receive this message "could not load database driver" when trying to open up the site or template list from the administrative area.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Update manually the "config_templates.php" to fix the template name is the correct method.
This should at least give you the possibility to go in JMS templates menu and access it.

You have to ensure that you have create a valid PHP file and does not make a mistake in the statement that you have modified.
Perhaps you made a syntax error that would cause the DB error.

I am really confused. I'm certain its a valid php file, and I triple checked to make sure there are no syntax errors. I even compared the file to other working sites I have using JMS Multisites; the information looks correct.

Any ideas?

If you have correctly removed the apostrophe that seems to cause the problem and that you have a correct PHP valid syntax, you should see this new name in the JMS Template list.
If this is not the case, that mean that you didn't have fixed the name.

If you want that we have a look on your server, this is still possible with our billable support that you can order at
