I am at this again try to see if I can get it to work with my sites.

I think I've discovered that the component is trying to actually create a new database when you execute a slave website. Well I already have created the database within my host. I'm using Rackspace, and I don't believe they will allow an external service to actually create the database.

Is there no way to simply tell the system to use an empty database that I have created with my host to replicate the master database tables?

the error I'm getting is the MakeDB: WARNINOTCONNECTDB.

I'm not using MySQLi.

I have however, gotten this component to work where the same database is used for all of my slave and master sites with different prefixes. This, however, is not ideal.

JMS start to check if it can connect on the DB to see if it already exists.
When the connection fails, it tries to create the DB.

So you have to check that you provided the correct DB parameters connection - otherwise it will try to create the DB that in your case will also fails (if you don't have the permission).

So verify the DB parameters connection.
