A few minutes ago I noticed that my patches were not up to date on my MultiSite control panel so I went ahead and updated them. When I did that the system immediately logged me out of the the admin tool. Now all of my MultiSite have the default Joomla template on the front end and I am not able to log into the admin tool. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

This probably mean that the installation of the patches failed and that all the patches were uninstalled to restore a consistency environment.

This also mean that the master "configuration.php" file is restored from the backup performed the day that you installed the patches.

View the content of the "configuration.php" to verify that you are connected on the correct DB and table prefix.
If you are connected on the correct master, verify your login and password.
If you are not sure of the login, you can always use a phpmyadmin to browse the user table and know the "administrator" login value.
