Refresh sites? 12 Years, 12 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi Edwin,

Some of my slave websites have a message

new extension present in website template that culd require a refresh (number of tables is diferrent) edit and resave slave site to synchronise with web template.

I have no idea to do, what caused the change. I am not confident in updating multisites. Can I continue working and maybe at the end when i purchase my last one hour support we can resolve this?

pls advise.

thanks

This "refresh" icon is just an information that tell you that the number of tables in the slave site is different of the master website.

To see the table and the potential reason why you have a different, you can use the JMS Tool menu and click on the slave site.
There you should have on the right a "table" tab where is listed all the tables.
You will be able to compare the tables between the website and perhaps identify that you forget to install something or discover an inconsistency somewhere (ie. uninstalled an extension in the master and not in a slave).

If you don't want to see this "refresh" icon, you can disable this functionality in the "multisites.cfg.php" file that is located in the administrator/components/com_multisites directory.

Is it possible to refresh all sites at once? I have almost 100 websites and it will take quite a while to open / edit each site and then click save.

Concerning the refresh of several website, this is not possible.
If you had create a group of slave site, you could go in JMS Tools and use the "propagate to children" checkbox that can help you doing the install of an extension that you propagate to a group of slave sites.

Otherwise, using the open/save website to refresh it can not do as a batch.
