we have a master and a slave site.

we have the mod_fpss (Frontpage slideshow) joomlaworks.gr module installed and enabled on both of them.

what we are trying to do is choose a same layout for module but use different background images according to the theme of the slave site.

is this possible?? can we override a particular module layout.. rather then copying the whole modules folder.

NOTE: i know we can override the layout via the templates/html folder... but we don't want to do it that way as this is not the layout but the images.

Joomla allows to overwrite default layout when you create a new layout in the "html" directory of the template selected.
So if you have different "/templates" directory or template selected by website, you can create specific look for a given module when you create the template in your selected template.

ie: in the directory
/templates/[SELECTED TEMPLATE/html/mod_fpss

Copy the layout of the /modules/mod_fpss
that you would like to modify and replaced by a new look.
