Hi

I might be being a bit dopey here but just wanted confirmation on the database prefix to use when creating a new addon site that shares the same database.

If I create a multisites template to share the database with an addon do I use the exact same database prefix as in the main site or do I use a new database prefix for the addon site?

I am using multisites 1.2.70 on a Joomla 1.7 site.

When you put several website into a same DB, you need to have different table prefix for each slave site.

In general, we always giving specific table prefix for each slave site (event when using different DBs).
This give more flexibility if in the future you change your mind and want to have several websites into the same DB.
