Next button not working 12 Years, 6 Months ago

I thought I had my first install setup (Joomla 1.7.1, JMS 1.2.66) ... but the Next button does nothing. I get three errors in the FF error console.

In order of occurrence (from a refresh)
Class is not defined: /installation/template/js/installation.js; line 9
window.addEvent is not a function: /installation/index.php; lines 17 and 36
Install is not defined: /installation/index.php: line 1 (Only occurs after I press next)

Where did I go wrong? I am thinking I have a malformed direction somewhere.

Replying to myself to let you know this issue is resolved on my end. I noticed the mootools javascripts returned a no index HTML my host provides. I had to copy the 'media' folder in my case. Now I need to understand why my database is not connecting.
