Sorry but your problem is not clear for me.
In joomla, all the pages are normally accessed via the /index.php or their SEF equivalent.

Which is the problem with the Offline page ?

Can you explain more in detail.

If you are trying to access immediatelly an image, or another file then I think this is normal that you don't have the offline page as you don't enter into joomla and therefore joomla is not able to display the offline page.

I can't understand what you want to say. please explain more detail. then i'll try to clear..

index.html takes precedence in a folder as does index.php. index.html takes precedence over index.php. That way if you travel to the index file will be displayed. That is not what is happening in my case. Instead i need to type in ... but only when the site is offline.

hmmm.... I think this may be a simple fix. I renamed my slave's htaccess.txt to .htaccess and the offline page is visible.
