TOPIC: Slave Site installation not working

Slave Site installation not working 12 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Hello Edwin,

I cannot install a new slave site on my JMS installation (Joomla 2.5.2, Joomla Multi Sites version: 1.2.78, Patches definition version: 1.2.79). DNS and Master-site are set up correctly. When I open the web installation, the first screen (language selection) appears, but the "Next" button is not working.
Can you help me (I think it has something to do with the installation subdirectory).
Best regards
Ruediger

If you suspect a problem with the installation directory, you can always re-use the one distributed in Joomla package.

I will retest this scenario to verify it under Joomla 2.5.2

I have retested and I don't have any issue.

Which Joomla "language" version do you use ?
Do you use the US version or another version ?

If you have a specific version other than the one in joomla.org then perhaps you should restore the /installation directory present in your original joomla version.

I deleted the /installation directory, and then transferred the J2.5.2 installation directory again to the host, went to the patches screen and installed all patches.

then I created the slave site in JMS again and went to the web-installation and...

everything worked as expected.

Kind regards
