Multi Site Single Sign In 8 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I am not sure whether this is the right thread or not; but I have bought the MS Ver 1.3x as well as the MS Single Sign In (SSI)..

However, I having some problems with the SSI at the moment..

I m trying to make SSI to run as a stand alone.. The Parameters for the main (102.5.50.230) site is:

SSI Active for the: Front-End
Action: Selected Domains
Domains: option disabled (as I have selected "Selected Domains" at Action)
Free Additional Domain: 102.5.50.231=>ms23sdEasdRH
Ping Protocol: DOmain protocol or http
Make domain.com and www.domain.com: Different - ping all

For the other site(102.5.50.231),

SSI Active for the: Front-End
Action: Selected Domains
Domains: option disabled (as I have selected "Selected Domains" at Action)
Free Additional Domain: 102.5.50.230=>ms23sdEasdRH
Ping Protocol: DOmain protocol or http
Make domain.com and www.domain.com: Different - ping all

somehow, after login in at 102.5.50.230 and clicked to a link menu to 102.5.50.231..
after arriving at 102.5.50.231, I am not logged in at 102.5.50.231

You have to ensure that you have installed the SSI on both websites.
In addition, ensure that you have the MySQL tables #__user% and #__sessions that are shared.

I also suggest that you apply the "troubleshooting" procedure present in the user manual to verify that the "ping" is correctly executed by the other website domain

Have done so..

How do i do that? Both sites have their own user and session tables.. same DB but different prefixes..

Have done so and both returned true.. it's just that it doesn't log in to the other site..

If the websites have their own users tables then it is dangerous to drop the table of one of the website to replace that my a link of the users and sessions.
The reason is that the user_id will probably not be the same after that.

Sharing of MySQL between the website is the technology used by JMS to share the content of the extensions.

The ideas is to replace the MySQL create table with create view but as you asked how to do that, I suppose that your are not familiar with MySQL statement and administration.
So I do not recommend that you try do it if you don't have a correct backup.
I suggest that you first experiment the way to create the views in a test environment before redoing that on a live website.
