TOPIC: Parked domains redirected to primary site

Parked domains redirected to primary site 15 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
When I use renewableshub.com (with no "www" prefix in my slave url), I get redirected to the primary site. It's not a web host problem since I talked to my web host support team already. They say it could be Joomla Multisites.

Any ideas?

Here are my websites:
Primary: www.biofuelshub.com
Slave: www.renewableshub.com

When you have defined the slave www.renewableshub.com, you have to add the synonym renewableshub.com in the JMS definition.

When JMS does not find the domain name into the list of domain defined in JMS, it automatically display the master website.

Hi,

Yes, I did that already. But the issue remains. And I get a weird error whenever I update/save the configuration. See image below:

Shouldn't the config_multisites.php update also? I noticed that it hasn't changed after adding the synonym. See attached file please.

Hm.. image wasn't embedded in the last message. I uploaded it to my web host:

JMS Manage Site snapshot

As for the contents of config_multisites.php, here it is:

<?php
if( !defined( '_EDWIN2WIN_' ) && !defined( '_JEXEC' )) die( 'Direct Access to '.basename(__FILE__).' is not allowed.' );

if( !defined( 'MULTISITES_MASTER_ROOT_PATH' )) {
define( 'MULTISITES_MASTER_ROOT_PATH', '/home3/biofuel1/public_html');
}

$md_hostalias = array( 'www.renewableshub.com' => array( array( 'url' => 'www.renewableshub.com', 'site_id' => 'renewableshub')));
?>

The error message present in the snapshot means that you have defined your slave site based on a "website template" and in this website template, you use a "from" site id that does not any configuration defined.

This explain why you have the error when you save the slave site and why JMS does not update it index with all the domain.

You should first fix the problem in the slave site used by the website template defined in your renewableshub slave site.

A work arround to force JMS rebuild its index is to create another slave site (event a fake one) that you will save. When JMS save any slave site, it rebuilt all its index and the renewableshub.com will be saved into JMS index.
