Hi, I read this old thread about Multisite not working correctly with RocketTheme/Gantry. This thread is almost 2 years old.

Is this issue resolved? Is there anything I need to know about?

I currently have the latest joomla 1.7.1 and latest multisite (Version 1.2.65, Patches 1.2.69) installed.

Any information, url, and tips will be appreciated.

We have published patch for Joomla 1.5.

We recently reviewed the RT radiance under Joomla 1.7.0 and it was OK with Gantry.

I have test some templates of rockettheme with J17... I never had any problems with gantry
Last version of JMS, last version of rocketthemes (radiance,modulus,hybrid,somaxion) on J1.7.1 gantry 3.1.12 (by memory)

I have allready posted a problem with JV Framework and the slaves sites.

I have uograded JOOMLA to 2.5.1 without any problem - Jms 1.2 works well and the slave sites are visible.

I have installed on master site Rocket-theme Gantry : no problem
In Tools/slave site I have install both a component "gantry" and a "plugin gantry"

When i want to install gantry in the slave site I have the folowing notification
" Cette extension n'existe pas sur le site principal.
Commencez par l'installer sur le site principal avant de l'installer sur un site esclave
Plug-in : erreur à l'installation"
Same answer as for JV Framework
I have uninstalled gantry on master site

Then I have installed the Rocket theme "clarion" new template for J 2.5 on the master site

and only the template standalone;

When i want to install the same template in the slave site I receive the same notification (see above)

Where is the problem ?

When you have an extension that has 2 extensions name that consists first to have an extension that is installed temporarly and next install the extension itself before uninstalling their temporary installer, such message can arise as the extension has deleted its "temporary installer".

This is probably the problem that you encounter.
On joomla 1.7 or 2.5, you can try to use the extension manager - discover to ask joomla re-install the extension but I suspect that joomla also will fail to install the extension.

Concerning components, modules and plugin, the JMS Tool can be used when the extension is defined.

Concerning RT templates, if now they have a specific installer component used to install the template, report the issue to RT.
