TOPIC: JMS and custom component
#8771
JMS and custom component 12 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi.
I've created a template-site and installed my custom component on it along with other components/plugins.
I get the same problem with this custom component as described here: www.jms2win.com/en/forum/25-extensions-c...ty/8770-jms-and-xmap

In addition, when I go into the Tools menu on the site where the template-site and the slave-site is created, my component is described (in the Site column) as "Extension without tables".
It does, however, have tables. These are defined in the install.mysql.utf8.sql-file.

Any pointers?

When an component is marked as "extension without table", this mean that we didn't review the extension and that they are not defined in the JMS Tool.

In this case, when an extension is not defined in the JMS tool, you still have the alternative solution to re-install the extension from the slave site.

Another solution only available in Joomla 1.7 is to use the "Discover" function present in the "Extension Manager".

You can also send us the new extension in the attachement of an email.
We will review it and when this is possible, we will add it to an next release.

Will you do this even if it's a commercial and proprietary component?

YES, you can send us whatever type of extension (commercial, non commercial or private extension).
In the latest case, if this is a private extension that you don't want to become define in JMS for everybody, we can also develop a specific plugin for you where we will define you "specific extension". In this case, this will require 1 Hour of support to build the specific plugin for JMS.
